Kasia Moreno
Kasia spent two decades at Forbes, where she rose from reporter to Chief of Reporters and then to Editorial Director of International Editions and Editorial Director of News Operations. She covered personal finance, health care, corporate strategies and international business. She created and edited “Staying Healthy,” a personal health section, and also created and edited “On My Mind,” a column of interviews with top executives about management issues. As Chief of Reporters, she was in charge of hiring reporters, as well as coordinating research and fact-checking assignments. As Editorial Director of Forbes' International Editions, she oversaw ten foreign editions of Forbes, including Forbes China, Forbes Russia and Forbes Turkey.
Born in Poland, Kasia was an interpreter and researcher for Western media covering the rise of the Solidarity trade union and its challenge to communism in Poland in the 1980s. She authored a case study for the Fontainebleau, France–based INSEAD, and worked as a production assistant for the BBC at the United Nations in New York City. She has also worked as an international consultant, aiding U.S. companies with their expansion to Eastern Europe. Over the last several years, Kasia has been studying creative nonfiction writing, and she is currently writing a memoir about being a stepmother.
Kasia has an M.A. in linguistics from the University of Warsaw, Poland, and an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University in New York.
